Chemical peels
A chemical peel does exactly as its title describes, chemicals are used to remove the outer layers of skin to reveal an improved complexion. The Rejuvenation Rooms offer superficial to medium depth peels.
At your free consultation you will be advised of any pre-treatment regime necessary and following your peel you will be given specific aftercare instructions along with an appropriate 'post-peel' product to ensure you obtain the very best results from your treatment.
Peels vary in intensity depending on the product used, the skin type and the problem to be treated. Conditions which have been shown to respond positively to the use of chemical peels are:
- Photo ageing
- Acne Scarring
- Fine lines
- Hyper-pigmentation
The products used at this clinic at present are:
- Compositum Cold Linked Gel
- Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)
It should be noted that a full spectrum high factor sun protection must be worn on the treated area following chemical peels. There may be obvious exfoliation of the skin following treatment for a period of 7-10 days.
